1 large sweet onion (such as Vidalia)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley (finely chopped, for garnish – optional)
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Onion
Peel the onion and remove the outer layer. Slice off the top to create a flat surface, then carefully carve out a small well in the center.
